I started my adventure back in 1993, 1994 when I was preparing to go to physical therapy school, I worked at a physical therapy center dealing with the ice storms that winter. I did a lot of work on cervical strains and sprains with seatbelt bruises. That is part of what gave me my style of getting in without it being painful or limiting the amount of pain. I realize working there that when I got out of school as a physical therapist, I would be doing a lot of evaluations and reevaluation’s and a lot of paperwork I wanted to do the hands-on modalities like I was. Not the office work so I didn’t go to physical therapy school, and instead went full-time in the emergency room night shift, trying to see if I wanted to become a physician or physicians assistant. I ended up working there for 7 1/2 years. It was one of my favorite jobs. When I was getting ready to get married in 95. I also added dayshift in the OR at a different hospital. I found that I liked being in the ER more than the OR, although orthopedics was very interesting the whole time I was still doing massage primarily chair massage. In 1998 I started massage therapy school. I was nervous that I would lose my style and come out just doing Swedish but luckily that didn’t happen my main focus for massage therapy school was anatomy and physiology. I was craving that material and since it was before the Internet, it was my best source. Before I graduated. I became The chair massage instructor so technically I was getting paid to teach before I graduated and I continue doing that for several years after graduation . From 1999 until Covid my primary focus was corporate on site massage therapy. My interest was chronic and repetitive motion issues the week before Covid. I started working at Hand and Stone because I wanted to do more chair massage in the Lehigh Valley instead of Philadelphia King of Prussia and Plymouth meeting. Luckily I started the first day of shut down. I worked for hand and Stone ferocious, and then I open up a private practice for myself still doing some corporate on site and home visits but now my focus is on the private practice, and then I think in the future I will go towards hospice instead of corporate on site beside the private practice but we’ll see what the future brings
